Once a Sinfonian, Always a Sinfonian

We're a group of alumni Sinfonians - brothers of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity in the Alabama counties of Calhoun, Etowah, Cherokee, Cleburne, Randolph, Clay & Talladega.- coming together for music, fellowship and fraternity. Live nearby? Join us!

NEAL Sinfonia January 2011 meeting

Our monthly gatherings resume Saturday, Jan. 8 at 6 p.m. at Effinas's Tuscan Grille, 501 Pelham Road S. in Jacksonville. If you're a Sinfonian living in the area who's not joined us before, or a brother who's not attended one of our events in a while, please come out. These meetings are always better with more people. We'd love to share your company for an evening.

One of the more important items on our agenda is the upcoming Province 34 Workshop, to be held in Jacksonville Feb. 18-20. There will be more for alumni at this edition of the workshop than ever before, so please plan to be there.

E-mail ben.cunningham{at}nealsinfonia.org if you have questions or need more information.

September meeting

Northeast Alabama Sinfonia's next meeting will be Sunday, Sept. 5, at 2 p.m. at Ben's house, 812 12th Ave. NE in Jacksonville [ click here for a map ]. If you're a Sinfonian and you're nearby, please join us.

Our meetings are largely informal gatherings, with a minimum of business and maximum brotherhood. We hope you can find a couple of hours in your Labor Day weekend to spend with us.

August meeting

Join us for our monthly gathering Friday, Aug. 13 at The Vault on the Square in Jacksonville at 7 p.m. If you're a Sinfonian living in the area who's not joined us before, or a brother who's not attended one of our events in a while, please come on out. These meetings are always better with more people. We'd love to share your company for an evening.

May meeting

The Northeast Alabama Alumni Association of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia gathers for its May meeting. It'll be an informal affair at Ben's house [ click here for a map ]. Grilled burgers and dogs, plus sodas and suds will be provided. Bring anything special you'd like to eat or drink.

If you're a Sinfonian living in our neck of the woods, come on out and join us. Our group is a great way to live out "in the real world" the ideals we all pledged in school to uphold for life. Plus, it's just fun.

April meeting

Our next meeting is set for Saturday, April 10 at Cooter Brown's Rib Shack in Jacksonville, Ala. [ click here for a map ] We've pushed the meeting back a week to avoid conflicts with anyone's Easter plans. Cooter Brown's has proved to be a nice, informal location for our moderately-sized gatherings. The food, of course, is outstanding, in no small part, we suspect because of the number of Sinfonians working in the kitchen.

Keep in mind that 2010 dues of $25 are payable now, and the meeting's a good time to take care of that.

January & February meetings

Happy New Year! We'll have a delayed January meeting Saturday, Jan. 16 at The Vault on the Square in Jacksonville at 7 p.m. It'll be good to be among the company of brothers again.

Then we'll resume our regular monthly meetings Feb. 5 at The Vault at 7 p.m.

The 2010 Province 34 workshop is set for Jan. 29-31 in Troy. Get in touch with Ben if you're interested in attending.
